Frank Clarke (judge) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Frank Clarke (judge) Frank Clarke (born 1951) is a judge of the Supreme Court of Ireland.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Appointments to the Supreme Court )〕 He was educated at University College Dublin and the King's Inns and was called to the Bar in 1973 and to the Inner Bar in 1985.〔 He was Chairman of the Bar Council from 1993 to 1995. He had a practice in commercial, constitutional and family law. He was external counsel to the Laffoy inquiry on child abuse, the Ryan inquiry, and represented the Flood Tribunal in its case against Liam Lawlor. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court in 2004. He was chairman of the Referendum Commission for the referendum on the Twenty-eighth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland (Lisbon II) in 2009. As a High Court judge he gave a ruling, on the Leas Cross nursing home case against RTÉ, that the public interest justified the broadcasting of material that otherwise would have been protected by the right to privacy.〔 He was appointed to the Supreme Court in February 2012.〔 He is married to Jackie Hayden, and they have a son and a daughter.〔 == References ==
